4- In 1871, the Third Republic was created by Louis Napoleon (Napoleon Bonaparte's nephew).
5- In the 17th century, France kept an important role in Eupore and in the world.
6- France lost a big amount of equipment and troops after the World War I.
7- In the 1920s, France established a system of border to defend from other countries.
8- France lost early in World War II.
9- During World War II, the Fourth Republic was created and controlled by coalitions.
10- After four years of war with Algeria, France collapsed on May 13, 1958.
11-Marking the beginning of the Fifth Republic, General de Gardle was elected and became the president in 1958.
12- In 1965, French people were able to elect president by direct ballots.
13-May 10, 1981, Mitterand became the president.
14- Under Mitterand's goverrnment, the economy of France was in trouble becauce of the nuclear testing.
15- In 2007, Nicolas Sarkozy became the sixth president of France who was elected by direct ballots. He helped to build up its relationship with America.
